Well, don’t believe everything you read on the Internet. I planned a Happy Hour with this lovely group at Fish Out of Water because I read this on the Internet.
Fish Out Of Water offers three discounted happy-tizers, snapper ceviche being one among these, a $6 wine and cocktail list, and eleven different beers at $3 on average. Fish Out Of Water is located in WaterColor, and offers their happy hour nightly from 5 – 7 PM on the deck overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. Hope to see you at 5 p.m. upstairs on the deck.
When I arrived I spotted a chalk board outside that said Happy Hour from 9-10 p.m. Who does a Happy Hour from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m.? That is almost laughable. Anyway, in a pinch I had to regroup. I found out that the Gathering Spot and Sushi Bar offered a Happy Hour and was right next door. They have a Happy Hour from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. with drink and sushi specials. They graciously sat up a table to seat 15 of us and the service was spectacular. Our waiter was Eric and he did a great job! I ordered two glasses of the William Hill Cabernet right away with such a short hour of opportunity to take advantage of $6 prices. Others tried the margaritas, cucumber martinis, and strawberry daiquiris. Everyone was very pleased with the service and their drinks.
For an appetizer I ordered the Firecracker Sushi roll. It was excellent! Others had pork dumplings and other sushi rolls. Everyone agreed that this was a place we could all come back to again. The group rated this one 5 out of 5 stars. This is the only place other than Cuvee 30A that has received this rating and we are one tough group.
I found out that you can valet park if you pull up in front of the Watercolor Inn even if all you are doing is going to the Gathering Spot for their Happy Hour. We will be back.
And if that wasn’t enough, Donna D invited us all back to her house for one more cocktail.
Next week we are going to gather at Jimmy and Chuck’s house on Thursday night and mix it up a bit. I am sure everyone will have a great time. BYOB, bring an appetizer and a smile. Until then……
